This month sees the unveiling of the brand-new EPX office suite!
As a company, we embrace our flexible, hybrid working approach but want to create improved collaboration space for our team - allowing them to come together as they wish in productive and comfortable surroundings.

Video conferencing equipment
The new office suite, based in Weston Road, Stafford, is an extension of the current offices but offers a new build room for our engineers, where we build systems and test them before delivery to site, and two meeting rooms complete with video conferencing equipment.
The space allows for 17 desks, hot-desking facilities and a quiet pod.

Flexible and hybrid working
Dan Ellis, EPX CEO, said: “We continue to embrace our work-from-anywhere approach but have moved to create this improved collaboration space for those who choose to come into the office.
“We have extensive experience in working with companies across the Midlands that have moved to more flexible working arrangements or a hybrid approach, and we have used all of that experience and knowledge to create a space for our team that ensures they are productive and happy.
“Technology plays a huge part in the modern-day office environment, ensuring productivity and security and protection for data and information. We look forward to seeing the EPX team thrive in their new surroundings.”

New office IT systems
If you are planning to move offices in 2023, or are expanding your space, it is extremely important to get your IT company involved in looking at the new space and ensuring all of the necessary steps are taken.
Your IT company can handle telecoms and is responsible for cabling, the wireless network and IT systems, the conference rooms (audio-visual and sound), digital signage, access control and CCTV and computer networks, including printers.
It is important to bear timings in mind - you may need up to 90 days to get a broadband line set up.
Moving into serviced offices
If you are moving into serviced offices, it is integral that you consult with your IT support team prior to the move and ensure the systems are set up correctly.
Dan adds: “We had experience with a client who did not consult us until after the move had taken place, and when I arrived and looked at the network, there were a number of issues.
“They ranged from smaller problems - they had six people, and they had asked for six sockets but had not taken into account their printer or phone network - to larger security issues.
“In their previous building, the company had a desktop computer that shared a file of sensitive data so that others could access it. When they moved to a serviced office, I explained that would not work because all of the sockets would be isolated - but it did work.
“When I looked further into the system, I found I could see the files of every single tenant in the business park - and everyone could see my client’s sensitive files, including those people who popped into the public cafe!”
If you are planning an office move or are expanding your site in 2023 do get in touch with our team so they can support you through the process.
