The Client
The company's early success spurred a desire to establish a presence in the United Kingdom, and a small company in London was purchased with the goal of expanding further.
As a result, the company moved to a larger facility in Birmingham. Consequently, the company was able to service the growing UK and Irish markets in addition to managing subsidiaries in Norway, Denmark, and Finland. In addition to the more than 120 employees, the company now occupies more than 90,000 square feet of WIFI-enabled premises.
The Brief
A major challenge the client had as its IT structure grew and developed was to ensure that working practices were uniform across the organization as the client's IT structure grew and developed.
As part of our ongoing support of our client, the EPX team has been assisting them since they relocated to the United Kingdom and, right from the onset, we have worked closely together to ensure that we fully understand the goals and needs of our client. This has allowed us to ensure that the level of growth of the company has never been constrained by IT limitations.
As the international market has continued to expand, resulting in the constant need for enhanced, additional, and replacement IT software, including Microsoft Office 365 licences. This has resulted in the constant need for replacement and additional IT software. This is applicable to all of our clients across a variety of geographical locations. As a result of this, our client needed to be confident that it had a reliable and efficient IT partner to carry out the project.
The Actions
We were initially asked to set up a 20-computer infrastructure at the company's Birmingham headquarters, before migrating and configuring equipment from the London headquarters to the Birmingham site. With this successful phase of operations, EPX became the primary contractor for both UK sites' IT systems. Additionally, EPX became the company's primary contractor for its remote workforce.
As one of the very first companies to adopt Microsoft's cloud-based Microsoft 365 model, one of the ongoing responsibilities of our company is to ensure that the IT infrastructure keeps up with the ever-changing cloud technologies.
The Impact
In the first 18 months of our collaboration, the company tripled in size, and our relationship has developed to such an extent that EPX now serves as our client's IT department, developing and upgrading systems in accordance with the client's current needs and long-term objectives.
Thus, we have been able to assist the company through a number of major projects that have led to major growth, develop a number of custom software applications, implement wireless networks at a large scale, and provide solutions to meet the remote working needs of the company.
