But many systems have features or shortcuts that are not utilised by employees - the majority of the time because they are not aware of them or do not know how to use them properly.

Our team is working on a series of blogs that look at ‘Power Toys’, the installable suite of utilities that help customise features in Windows 10 and assist with workflow and productivity.
Always on Top
Always on top is a system-wide utility for Windows to pin windows above other windows with a quick key shortcut - (⊞ Win+Ctrl+T).
With the activation/deactivation of the shortcut, the active window will be placed above all non-topmost windows and stay above them even when the window is deactivated.
Awake
This utility is designed to keep a computer awake without having to manage its power and sleep settings. This behaviour can be helpful when running time-consuming tasks, ensuring that the computer does not go to sleep or turn off its displays.
In the PowerToys Settings, start Awake by toggling Enable Awake on. Once enabled, the application will manage the awakeness state of the computer.
The settings also give you a number of options to meet your needs, including ‘keep awake indefinitely’, which means your computer will stay awake until you close or disable the application, a time interval allowing you to keep the machine awake for a defined amount of time before it returns to its previous general state and keep awake until expiration - when you set a specific time for it to expire.
Colour Picker
This is a system-wide colour-picking utility activated with Win+Shift+C after it has been enabled in your settings.
The user can pick colours from anywhere on the screen; the picker then automatically copies the colour into your clipboard in a set format. Colour Picker also contains an editor that shows a history of previously picked colours.
Fancy Zones
This utility is aimed at improving workflow by restoring layouts quickly. A window manager that makes it easy to create complex window layouts and quickly position windows into those layouts.
The user can define a set of zone locations to use as targets for Windows on the desktop, and when a window is dragged into a zone or the associated keyboard shortcut is entered, the window is resized and repositioned to fill that zone.
