The 2021 Staffordshire County Showground went amazingly this year and EPX is proud to have supported them for over 4 years. This year saw a record-breaking attendance number topping 50,000, coming out of lockdown people were flocking to the event and a great time was had by all.EPX provides the network infrastructure, CCTV and public WIFI to the Staffordshire County Showground and have supported them with many events over the past 4 years.
During the pandemic, things were a little different with live events cancelled for everyone, and the County Showground was repurposed and used to help with the delivery of food– and again we supported them throughout this period providing a reliable network solution.
Over these years of our partnership, we have modernised the Showground’s CCTV infrastructure, installed reliable guest WIFI, improved the internet performance, and provided a fully managed support from supplying, maintaining to monitoring the system ensuring the Showground get the best IT support services and security they need for the event.In addition to providing this service, EPX also developed a wide range of temporary services that traders and event organisers could purchase to use whilst at the Showground such as:
- Temporary private networks (VLANS)
- Dedicated connections for special events
- Temporary CCTV
- VoIP phone system rentals
- Dedicated wireless access point rental
- Rental of internet connected display screens
- Rental of plug-in network connections – anywhere on sites
- On call or onsite support for any events
Pylon One – one of many event organisers that EPX have been working with – has also taken advantages of these IT support services to host their Bonhams Motorcycle Auctions during the Bi-Annual Motorcycle Show.
The next year or so with the possible COVID passports being introduced for large events and the increased demand for contactless payments in the aftermath of the pandemic, we are sure that the requirements of the system will change, and upgrades will be needed – EPX will continue to support the Staffordshire County Showground into the future and provide them with the correct IT solutions to help them succeed.
